Cutting edge conversion

Between the years of 2003 and 2009, Sam Song was a builder. After seven years of working overseas, he came back to New Zealand to work in cabinetmaking and house renovations at DBP Renovation Specialists.

Before he found Cutshop, Sam used a small kitchen company to do all of his cutting and edging, but due to their low-class machine, the quality was lacking and he knew it was time to find a new partner…

Time for an upgrade:

Sam has since moved to collaborating with Cutshop North Shore for the cutting and edging of his cabinets.

The Cutshop team makes valuable contributions, particularly with the joint detail, which helps smoothen the whole process.
— Sam Song

After taking time with clients to decipher what they need and want, Sam designs cabinets accordingly to fit the given space. He discusses those designs with the programmer at the Cutshop factory, who comes back with a quotation before finally going into production.

Room conversion

With one particular project, Sam had some clients who wanted to convert a room into a study that could also double up as a bedroom. The design was of Japanese origin, using cut to size melamine MDF, delivered at the high standard his clients specified.

Attention to detail

When asked his favourite thing about working with Cutshop, Sam explained he loves the quality of the outcomes with perfect edging and cutting, and that the whole team pay such attention to detail.
