Quick Cuts Part 1 – Getting Started in the Online Portal

Welcome to Part 1 of Quick Cuts.
Our rapid-fire blog series dedicated to helping you get the most out of Cutshop’s online ordering portal.

Whether you’re exploring commercial fitout solutions or pre-cut kitchen cabinets, our online portal makes it simple for you to achieve your ideal final result.

In this series, we’ll break down how to use the portal, along with why different decisions in the ordering process might impact what we call “The Four F’s”:

By the end of this series, you’ll be able to confidently design and order cabinets to suit your vision (and budget), no matter your level of professional experience.

It’s all part of our commitment to making the online ordering process as hassle-free as possible, not just for builders and cabinetmakers, but project managers, business owners, weekend DIYers, and everyone in between.

In Part 1, we’ll start with a brief overview of the portal, along with how to create a new order. We’ll also include some handy explainer videos throughout this blog series to help illustrate each section of the portal.

From design to delivery, Cutshop’s online portal is built to suit anyone looking to order cut-to-size materials.

For tradies, the portal houses a deep set of customisation options to fit any job. Alter dimensions at will, swap out hardware and carcass options, and create something truly unique.

For more casual or first-time users, the portal includes a series of ready-made design options, pre-loaded with industry-standard specs. Select one of these default designs as a starting point, and edit as needed (armed with the knowledge gained in the rest of this Quick Cuts series).

To create your first quote, click on Create New Job in the main menu. This will also generate a unique job reference code, which you can use to get personalised advice on your in-progress design from the Cutshop team using the chat icon.

Here, you can also decide whether to pick the order up yourself or have it delivered to your chosen address.
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Look out for Part 2 of Quick Cuts in your inbox, where we’ll be digging into making hardware selections!
