Cathedral Cove Ocean Swim.

For the past eight years, Cutshop Mt Wellington has been a main sponsor of Brent Foster’s 4km Cathedral Cove ocean swim, and this year was no exception.

The event, run in March by Kiwi swimming and triathlon legend, Brent Foster, welcomes swimmers of all nationalities and a range of abilities to compete or simply take part in the picturesque swim.

A 4km round trip from Hahei to the Cove and back again – or 2km from the Cove back to Hahei – this event is probably one of the prettiest and dramatic group ocean swims on offer in New Zealand.

Brent is a multi-award winner at Elite level across five sporting disciplines, with more than 50 titles under his belt to date.  He was a silver medalist at the Canberra International Swim Meet, breaking a 14 year record originally set in 1987.

Brent also placed eighth in the 2000 World Cup triathlon, won the World Surf Lifesaving Champs in 1998 and became World Aquathlon Champion in 2009.  If it involves a swimming challenge, Brent is in there.

Cutshop loves being part of this fantastic annual event.

We like to get involved in events that mean something to the community. This swim gives all comers the chance to experience something uniquely Kiwi in flavour against a gorgeous backdrop.  Brent is a great ambassador for New Zealand swimming sports, and we look forward to being involved for years to come.
