Solar-Powered Success

In a remarkable display of commitment to sustainability and innovation, Cutshop®, a contract cutting service, has not only significantly reduced its carbon footprint but has integrated solar power into their cut-to-size cabinetry production process.

With this forward-thinking initiative towards renewable energy not only showcases Cutshop's commitment to environmental responsibility but also exemplifies the potential for clean energy adoption within traditional industries.

Harnessing the Sun's Energy

Cutshop® used half of its factory roof for a 48 KW solar farm, which is a modern way to get energy. Solar panels, made of special cells, catch sunlight and turn it into clean electricity that can be used again.

A Remarkable Drop in Power Consumption

Cutshop's solar farm helped them use much less electricity. With a decrease of 50% in their power consumption compared to the previous months shows that solar power works well and that Cutshop cares about saving energy and the environment.

Supplying Clean Energy to the Grid

Cutshop's solar farm is not just for their energy - it does more. On weekends and holidays, when the factory is not busy, extra energy from the solar panels goes to the power grid. This clean energy helps ease stress on regular power sources and makes less pollution.

This is a long-term investment into our business that will not only reduce our carbon footprint but also contain our running costs as the electricity prices keep raising.
— Carmel Sissons, Cutshop Accountant

Cutshop's successful integration of solar-powered cabinetry project exemplifies their forward-looking values, demonstrating that even in long-standing industries, environmentally conscious methods can be smoothly incorporated.

By sharing its success story, Cutshop® is igniting a ripple effect that encourages other businesses to explore solar energy adoption and take meaningful steps towards a greener future.
