The Mangawhai Kitchen - A Seamless Blend of Design and Quality
Working with Cutshop® enabled Michael Alsweiler of Fox & Rabbit Projects to achieve a vision of a high-quality, custom kitchen for a new build in Mangawhai. Designed by AM Architects, this project was a showcase of meticulous detail and quality craftsmanship, a perfect match for Fox and Rabbit’s philosophy.
"Well-designed down to the finer details and alignments of appliances. Quality construction to match build." - Michael Alsweiler, Fox & Rabbit Projects
Michael, who runs Fox and Rabbit as a hobby business focused on high-end residential joinery, has been working with Cutshop® for nearly a decade. For him, the partnership is a no-brainer.
"Cutshop always produces high-quality panels, which make the manufacturing process extremely easy."
Tackling Design Challenges
The design of the Mangawhai kitchen called for a clean, flush, and seamless look. This required integrating appliances and a scullery door, along with custom hidden handles. This attention to detail meant that precision in manufacturing was paramount.
The collaboration with Cutshop® ensured that these challenges were met head-on. As a repeat customer, Michael finds the ordering process straightforward and efficient, even for his highly customised designs.
"Ordering is always easy, considering most of my jobs are very customised in design."
Materials Used
To achieve the desired aesthetic and quality, Michael chose:
Laminex Melamine in the shade Possum for the main cabinetry.
Oak veneer with solid timber clashings for a warm, natural contrast and durable edge.
This combination of materials provided both the sleek, modern finish and the warmth required for the space.
Working with Cutshop®
Both Michael and the client were thrilled with the final result. The high-quality panels produced by Cutshop® made the manufacturing process smooth, leading to a finished kitchen that reflects the architectural vision and elevated craftsmanship of Fox & Rabbit Projects.
"Both the client and I are wrapped in the final product."
