Extra resources.

Extra resource keeps jobs moving.

We caught up with Paul Shepherd of Design Edge Kitchens, one of Cutshop North Shore’s biggest customers, to find out how his relationship with Cutshop works and what keeps him coming back.

I’ve been working with Cutshop North Shore for the past few years.  I used to cut all my own stuff, but it got really time-consuming — it takes a couple of days to cut a kitchen — and I was starting to lose work.  With Cutshop I get more done and don’t get consumed by one job.

As a sole operator, Paul benefits from having the extra resource that Cutshop offers.  Cutshop’s state-of-the-art design software, CNC machines and edge banders deliver a highly polished, professional job with pin-point accuracy.

“The turnaround time is great — and if I have a rush job, Cutshop do everything they can to help me meet my deadline. Using Cutshop also reduces mistakes, their machines are so much more accurate that hand cutting and drilling. All I have to do is go and pick the panels up.”

One of Paul’s most recent jobs was a full kitchen fit-out in black gloss acrylic.  “The clients knew exactly what they wanted and had thought about their storage needs.”  Paul advised on layout and helped to iron out a few design issues to make the whole space work.

“They wanted a large breakfast bar, space-saver pantry with a big appliance garage with a roller door to keep the benches clear. It was a great end-result and the clients loved it.”

This kitchen was one of the seven or eight jobs that Paul puts through Cutshop every month, ranging from full kitchens to replacement panels, bookshelves and laundry units.

The Cutshop team is really good to deal with, I don’t like to think what I would do without them.
